Step 2: Clients


Step 1: Locations

First decide which servers you want to be backed up by Sesam. To accomplish this you will need the names and permissions to access the relevant systems.

Using GUI->Components->Topology->new Location you can create the Location names and descriptions for the client. Every client must be clearly assigned to a Location. As a default the Location on the server is set to 'LOCAL'. In the following illustration several 'Locations' have been created. Location names are freely selectable, they should be unambiguous and they should be easy to remember.
