Overview

Data stores are used by SEP sesam media pools when you start a backup. You can start a configured backup task immediately or schedule it to run after you have created a schedule and linked a backup event to it. For details on how to schedule a backup, see Automatic backups.

If you start your backup immediately, you only need to select the appropriate media pool.

Steps

1. In the Main selection -> Tasks -> By clients, click the backup task you want to start immediately to select it.
2. In the menu bar -> Activities -> Immediate start, click Backup.


3. Select the media pool referring to your data store and click Start.
