Datacenter Installation Requirements
- Backup Server
- Linux/Solaris
- Licensed version of SEP Sesam - Server 4.0.3-30 or later
- Installed ssh client (openssh)
- 1 (public) Static IP Address
EC2 Management Console Setup
- Sign in to the AWS Management Console
- Select EC2
- Create an Instance
- Select SLES 11 64 bit
- Download Keypair
- Launch the instance you created
- Select or create a Security Group
- Select inbound
- Create a new rule for SSH connections from the backup server
- TCP Port 22 (SSH) SESAM_SERVER/32
- Create a new rule for connections from the network
- TCP Ports 1025 - 65535 (SESAM) DATACENTER_NETWORK/CIDR
- Apply Changes
- Connect to the instance via ssh from the sesam server
Cloud Instance Installation Requirements
- Install SEP Sesam - Cloud Device Server
- ssh server (included by default on most images)
- Static/Elastic IP Address recommended
